Guest clinician, Stan Cornett

Stan Cornett has been a professional educator and instructor with more than 40 years of experience in planning, developing, and implementing adult educational programs in leadership assessment, basic and advanced instructor/facilitator training, experiential learning, and the application of digital and other technologies to instruction and instructional development.

As the Director of Training and Doctrine for the US Army School of Music (Virginia Beach, VA), Mr. Cornett supervises and manages the US Army School of Music's (USASOM) Directorate of Training and Doctrine. Other major responsibilities include distance learning, materiel and logistics, doctrine development, and development of 12 authorization documents for Standard Resource Code 02 - Army Bands. He administers membership and meeting content of the Army Bands Steering Group (ABSG) comprised of 25 members from all Army components via face-to-face meetings and remote sessions of Adobe Connect. Mr. Cornett also holds positions as an Instructional Designer for Potawatomi Training, LLC and the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA). He has previously served as the  Director of Educational Technology for the Fork Union Military Academy (Fork Union, VA).
