Jim Allder

James R. Allder is a Grammy Quarterfinalist Music Educator. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Marshall University, where he studied Euphonium with Dr. John Mead and Dr. Earl Louder. 

Currently, he is Director of Bands at Greenbrier East High School in Lewisburg, WV, where he teaches symphonic bands, marching band, steel drum ensemble, rock band, beginning guitar, and music appreciation classes.

His school rock band program “2nd Block Rock” is recognized as an innovative addition to the instrumental music curriculum, providing educational and performance opportunities for students who may not be in traditional ensembles.

Mr. Allder performed at the Closing Ceremonies of the 1996 Olympic Games as a member of The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps. More recently, he has performed as a trumpet player with the West Virginia Jazz Orchestra, the Greenbrier River Brass Quintet, and reggae band Vern's Pot O' Chili.

Jim resides in Caldwell, West Virginia with his wife Tasha, daughter Ceili, and son Cedric.
